We provide integrated formation evaluation services and package it to achieve clients objective which covers not only to meet immediate evaluation, but also view toward the future. The comprehensive open hole data is vital to insure that the most effective recovery techniques are used througout the entire life of client's wells.
EPI Acoustic Tools provides a continous acoustic velocity log (interval transit time) of formation traversed by the tool. This log aids in porosity and lithology studies. EPI different types of acoustic tools help clients to provide different properties i.e. porosity data for water saturation computation, lithology identification, etc.
EPI has three type of logging system platforms to deliver excellent services as clients required. EPI's PLS-2002 Logging System controls operation on PROBE based Logging Tools, Integra (ILS-AA) Logging System controls operation on TUCKER based Logging Tools, EPI Affinity CH Logging System controls operation on Cased Hole Logging Tools.
EPI Nuclear Tools consists of some different sets type of tools i.e.: Compensated Neutron Tool, Litho Density Tool, and Gamma Ray, which can be combined to provide more information about porosity, lithology, and rock properties.
Resistivity tools exploit property of material that conduct or resist the flow of electrical current as a base in evaluating well formations. Most reservoir rocks consist of non-conductive materials. This matrix proe space, if any, will be filled with non conductive hydrocarbons and or conductive formation water. As a result, formation resistivity is related to the amount of water or fluid in the formation pore space.
Side Wall Core (SWC) service is one of EPI's services which its objective is to obtain physical samples of the formation by selectrively firing hollow, cylindrical project lines into the formation. The cylinders are attached to the tool body by cables. As the tool is moved upward, the sample is pulled from the formation.
Spontaneous Potential (SP) tool records naturally occuring electrical potentials in the borehole. The SP is usually run in combination with other tools in an open-hole where the salinity of the drilling fluid differs from that of water in the formation. One of principle use of SP curve is to determine a value for formation water resistivity (Rw).
EPI provide some tool combination possibilites that depends on client's need. We provide double, triple, quad, or super combo options.
